We all know about them…

We’ve all heard about them…

And we all haven’t read them… But do we really need to?

We heard there was a lot of ruckus over who the “Real Best-Seller” was over the thriving young-adult escapade, starting with Gossip Girl.

First, Gossip Girl enticed young readers from the start with it’s thrilling, nonstop drama and wild action. Then came The A-List, the Clique, and more…. Now we’re all reading young-adult stories!

And all of these stories, from Gossip Girl to the Dating Game, have made it to the Best-Seller’s lists from New York to California. Thousands of girls are reading the books…but only millions of them can identify one series in particular. We decided to examine this up close.

The webmaster rounded up some friends and gave them a sheet that looked like this:

Bookshelf, bookshelf, on the wall…who’s the real best-seller of them all?

Question: Out of the choices below, what series do you like the most?

THE DATING GAME

And she asked her friends to ask many others who may have heard of these books. After a couple weeks the results were in and tallied. Here are the final scores. Hold you breath…this one’s insane!

21% said THE A-LIST was their favorite

36% said GOSSIP GIRL was their favorite

12% said THE IT GIRL was their favorite

09% said THE CLIQUE was their favorite

15% said THE AU PAIRS were their favorite

07% said THE DATING GAME was their favorite

The results were steady. Exactly 100 people were interviewed. The webmaster grabbed 10 friends and they each asked 5 people the question, and the webmaster herself then asked 5 different people she knew. It was all simple, real, and truthful. THE A-LIST comes in second after GOSSIP GIRL… We kind of expected that, since Gossip Girl was here, out, and noticed before A-List and practically started the whole rich-teen era. Good job, Cecily von Ziegesar, for being the winner!
